Raise The Nation
Applying For a Grant or Scholarship
We select award recipients and make distributions two times per year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Applications must be postmarked by the cycle deadline. Your application and application fee will remain on file for two application cycles (e.g., Spring 2008 and Fall 2008). If you were not selected for an award in the cycles for which you applied, you may apply again. If you choose to reapply, you must submit another completed application and an application fee.
Deadlines and disbursement dates for the next two cycles are as follows:
Fall 2010
Application deadline: August 1, 2010
Expected disbursement: September 30, 2010

Spring 2010
Application deadline: December 1, 2010
Expected disbursement: January 30, 2011
We have a new income limit for our programs. We are using the 2007 median household income for a four-person family for each state. In the vast majority of cases our applicants do not come close to exceeding this limit. Please consult the link below to check whether or not your income disqualifies you from our program.
Note that the income limit applies to the single parent woman on applications for the child of a single parent woman scholarship.
If you have already applied, you must submit the supplement below to be considered for an award. Please check our database to ensure that we have received your completed application so that all you need to submit is the supplement. If your application was received incomplete, please use one of our new applications to reapply. If you submitted a completed application before November 1, 2006 and did not include an application fee, we must receive an application fee ($20) as well as the supplement below in order for your application to be considered for an award. The deadline for the supplement is the same as for new applications (postmarked no later than August 1, 2007).
Choose the scholarship/grant you wish to apply for, print and complete it. Please choose only one so that we may assist other single parent women.

Due to overhead costs, we regretfully must charge a $20 application processing feeThis is a one-time fee. This fee is not refundable as it goes to pay the basic overhead at Raise The Nation. Overhead costs include and are not limited to: Web hosting, printing costs, marketing costs, electric, office maintenance and repairs, and our small PR budget. Your application fee is not a promise that you will be able to receive financial assistance at the time you want it as our distribution of funds is 100% dependent upon our fund raising success. If you have questions or concerns, please email us.
